CLUB MEMBERSHIP:
Beginners:
Our members are a diverse range of archers both in age and ability. We start our Beginners off on our lighter poundage recurve bows but after either completing a single lesson Come 'N Try Course ($20) or a four lesson Advanced Come 'N Try Course ($60), there are discounts for families, we welcome new members to try their (bow) hand at longbow, recurve, compound or even x-bow (you will need an additional license and club consensus on the last one).
A Temporary Member form will need to be signed for before starting lessons. This gives insurance coverage for a beginner for up to 8 weeks.
Becoming a Club Member:
After an archer completes Beginners classes an archer will be asked to apply for an up to date Archery Australia Membership Card. These have to be applied for through the State Governing Bodies eg. ArcheryNSW through each Registered Club Secretary. Cost in 2010 will be $106 from July 2010- July 2011 for an adult, $71 for a child. Most of this money goes towards insurance requirements for all archers through Archery Australia.
Mountain Archers require the sighting of a valid up to date Archery Australia card by one of the Mountain Archers senior members, the registration number logged in and signed for. A $5 Shooting fee applies for a member of another club for a typical Sunday shoot.
Yearly Club Fee:
As of August 2010 we will be charging a yearly Club Membership Fee. This will be $75 adult, $50 junior/concession, family discount of half price for third child or partner will apply, maximum Club Fee to be $150 per family.
