CHRISTMAS BBQ AND PRESIDENTS CUP SHOOT HELD ON 29TH NOVEMBER A GOOD TURNOUT.

Well done to all club members and officials for a really well run fun day. Also thanks to Sam O'Neill for the fruit cake and Josh Dodson for the pulled pork. Presidents Cup trophy went to Ben Ong this year with an excellent score of 698 for mens barebow recurve FITA 900 (50m/40m/30m full face) Runner up for most improved archer of 2015 was Ozzy with 785 mens sighted compound.
CLUB MEMBERS FUN INDOOR/OUTDOOR TOURNAMENT WAS HELD ON 25/10/2015. It was great to see 18 archers happy and competing well. Organised by Lee Archibald, cost was $5 payable on the day, and included medals for archers coming 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their class. Well done to all competitors at last weeks club competition short course 30m event over 5 ends. See results table above. Hopefully we will be able to do a monthly club competition of this kind over summer. Next month we may try an outdoor/indoor event at 18m on 30cm face.

IRONFEST 2015 A HUGE SUCCESS FOR MOUNTAIN ARCHERS

Mountain Archers members were in high demand again at the 16th Annual Lithgow Ironfest that was Gypsy Dreadnought. There was certainly more pyrotechnics and explosions in our vicinity and around 600 temporary members were treated to an archery experience starting at a cost of 50 cents. A huge thankyou to all club members involved.
EASTER WEEKEND CLEAN-OUT A SUCCESS
Thank you to the club members involved in cleaning out the main clubroom and toilets on the weekend. They are now looking shiny and ordered.

On Sunday 29th March, Mountain Archers instructors Josh Dodson and Mat Bagley awarded 15 Come ' n Try Certificates to the following group of people (Cost was $60 for individuals, $50 per person for family groups) Geoff, Peter and Hugh McNair, Ian, Ella and Lloyd Wallace, Adam and James Searle, Elisabeth Bowman-Yeend, Chris Wellwood, Alexander Lamond, Tim Squires, Mark Morcom, Daniel Garner and Phil Latka. For all newcomers, please come up to the clubhouse on a Sunday morning, say hello and we will see if we can fit you in for some instruction, or onto the next Beginners Course.
